In 2000, Witherspoon founded [[Type A Films]], which later merged into [[Pacific Standard]] in 2012. In 2016, she co-founded [[Hello Sunshine]], a media company dedicated to female-centered storytelling. Under Hello Sunshine, she launched [[Reese's Book Club]] in 2017, which selects books with women at the center and has turned many picks into successful adaptations.
